The Grand Tour continues…
Hello, Paris!
Best salad of the whole trip, enjoyed at Hotel Le Meurice, Paris.
The Eiffel Tower!
Never enough Eiffel Tower.
One must simply take a boat ride in Paris!
The closest we got to Notre Dame.
At BHV they still sell buttons.
Melons are a big thing here.
How my daughter Lucia looked after many hours at The Louvre. (Make sure to get tickets in advance!)
View from the top of the Centre Pompidou.
Bridges with locks are also a big thing.
Bastille Day parade… Très militaristic!
In the park.
Bastille Day fireworks.
Final stop: The Loire Valley!
A simply dressed and delicious salad! I took that boat trip on the Seine, beautiful! That’s as close as I got to Notre Dame too, go figure! Yep, melons are BIG in France. Always order tickets before leaving home for most venues during tourist season, I usually do, and love to just walk past all of the tourist queued up for hours.
The day can get real long for children, a glace should help! Did they tell you that the locks are going to be coming off? They are removing the whole gate and putting it in a museum I believe. The weight of the locks are causing problems for the stability of the rails. Too bad, I put a lock there one year, in the Czech Republic also!
Happy that you are having a great time.
