The other day I was feeling overwhelmed, depressed, and defeated about the whole GMO thing. There is SO MUCH evidence that GMOs, and the chemicals that are used in concert with them (like Round up) are destroying our health and planet. But then it occurred to me. We have the solution!

The Only Real Way to End GMOs

The Virus in Our Food Supply
by guest blogger Alberto Gonzalez. I have many reasons for being against GMOs. But topping the list right now are the disturbing practices of agricultural giant Monsanto, which, in its relentless pursuit of profits no matter what, has dedicated countless hours and dollars to persecuting and prosecuting U.S. farmers for “patent infringements.”

So God Made an Organic Farmer
And on the Eighth day, after she had rested,
God remembered to make someone
To truly care for her creation.

Dissecting Our Health
by guest blogger Coach Mark Smallwood. The end of 2012 saw some quiet and some not-so-quiet snubs aimed at organic foods. The Stanford study, the American Academy of Pediatrics statement, Dr. Oz… All these messages claimed to be focused on “health” and whether or not certain foods help or hinder our progress toward this mystical perfection for which we are all supposed to strive. It’s time for the organic community to put the skeptics to rest once and for all!

How To Avoid the Chemicals
in our Food
By guest bloggers Sonya Lunder and Alex Formuzis. by guest blogger Coach Mark Smallwood. We do love our bacon. When the rumor of an “unavoidable bacon shortage” hit the airways late last month, American citizens went what can only be described as hog wild. There isn’t really a bacon shortage, but the cost of pork will most certainly be rising globally in 2013. But two small changes to how we look at production and consumption could make a big difference in our food future.

What Saved This Conventional Farm?
by guest blogger Alberto Gonzalez. James Burkholder’s family has been farming forever. They moved from Switzerland to the U.S. in the 1700s and dedicated themselves to cultivating the land. But during a crisis in 2009, when milk prices tanked, James was at risk of losing his family’s legacy and livelihood. He needed to find a way to save their farm because farming was all they knew how to do. So, James decided to look into organic farming practices.
